Hello there!
I no longer have a "Down The Winding Streets of London" page. On that page I shared my writing project that I was working on. I am actually still working on that same writing project but I got rid of that page for sharing it. That is for a few simple reasons. I hope to maybe someday self publish my work and that draft was a very rough (and quite embarrassing 🙈) one.
I'm trying my hand at blogging again and I hope you all will give me another chance. 😅
And now without further ado, the real reason for this post. My latest adventure and one that I'd like to share with you all. A trip across the entire country to the state that my dad grew up in: New Hampshire. I boarded a plane and flew to New Hampshire to see my grandparents that I hadn't seen in four years.
This trip was the first time I flew without my parents and I was just a bit nervous. 🙈 But I was determined to be an adult. 😜 My big sister Emily and I would be going together so I could count on her to know what she was doing. So with a good bye hug to our dad we boarded the plane bound for the other side of the country.
On the way to the airport. I was nervous. *laughs*
My dad took us in his truck to the airport. I sat in the back with all the luggage.
Emily and I waiting at our gate to board the plane.
In the air! I had that nervous, excited jitters. Emily let me take the window seat the first flight and I watched with fascination as we took off.
I got so many of these snack bags by the end of the trip! We had several flights and they gave us each one on each flight. But Emily gave me all her's so I had plenty! *chuckles*
A giant protein cookie that I ate in Chicago airport during a layover. It was monster in size but you can hardly tell in the picture.
We made it! We stood here and waited for our baggage and I sent this picture to the family back home to let them know we'd survived.
Emily's good friend Mariah picked us up from the airport and drove us to our aunt and uncle's where we were staying. Most of the family was already in bed since it was late but Auntie Mary met us at the door. As usual she was the cutest and sweetest little aunt you ever saw. She grows shorter every time I see her. But now that I'm done growing perhaps she'll stay the same size.
The next morning's breakfast bright and early at Auntie Mary's. Despite the time change we woke up with the sun.
And coffee of course.
The rest of the first few days was spent with the family that I hadn't seen in so long.

We loved seeing Grandpa and Grandma again. It had been too long.
Plus all our cousins out there!
And Aunt Mary of course. We loved hanging out with our amazing and fun aunt.
Mariah took us out to coffee one afternoon. It was cold and snowy but still I couldn't resist getting blended.
Getting to know my smallest cousin out there. Aunt Mary's youngest, Reagan. She loved for me to hold her up so she could point at the pictures of all the grandchildren on Grandma's wall.
Mariah invited us walking one afternoon. It was snowy but I actually got warm in my winter coat from walking. The sun came out and it was super nice out. Emily snapped this picture of us on the trail.
I fell behind and got this picture of Mariah and Emily walking.
We went walking at a cathedral so I had to get a picture of this bell tower. Something you wouldn't have back home on the West Coast!
We stopped walking to get some pictures. I snapped a few of Emily and then she snapped a few of me. It was nice lighting for pictures!
Grandma with her mama. <3 I hadn't really known my great grandma so it was nice to get a chance to see her.

In my spare time I...Read of course. I will read nearly any good book I can get my hands on. I loved reading this book. This true story is absolutely incredible.
Our dad insisted that we had to go to Pizza Haven. His favorite restaurant there from when he grew up there.
He even told me exactly what to order!
Grandma spoiled me with ice cream. I felt about five years old again. But that's okay. I enjoyed feeling five again.
Reagan!
Yes, in my week away from home I read more than one book.
The snow melted and then fell again off and on the whole time we were there.
A sleepy Reagan.
We had arrived! You should have heard our squeals and suppressed giggles. I have grown up knowing the stories and history of these sites. I couldn't believe that I was actually there!
Lexington Green! The very place where the shot was fired that was heard from around the world!
I had to get a picture with and of everything!
A Minute Men Memorial.
Eeeeek! I had heard so many stories about Buckman Tavern! I was so excited to actually go in the very rooms that the patriot leaders met for meetings and the minute men gathered after the battle on The Green. A trunk of important papers of John Hancock's were even hidden there too.
Emily on the outside of Buckman Tavern.
This is it! Inside the famous tavern! In this very room patriot leaders had meetings and discussed England's tyranny.
The tap room. Probably one of the most famous rooms. Here the minute men gathered after the battle on the green with the British regulars.
This old stairs was fascinating. They didn't let us go up it since they didn't know if it was safe but it would have been fun to go up them. They looked very steep and winding though.
The Belfry that sounded the alarm that 'the British are coming!'
A memorial for the patriots that were pastors!
On our way to Concord we followed the same road that Paul Revere, the British, and minute men all would have took!
Louisa May Alcott's house and the setting for "Little Women."
A memorial for Yankee soldiers who died during the Civil War.
We walked to the Old North Bridge in Concord! The battleground of the second battle of the American Revolutionary War.
Emily reading the faded words on the memorial.
I needed a picture of me on the Old North Bridge.
Just a stonewall. But it isn't something we would have at home so we had to document at least one of the many that we walked by.
The Old North Bridge from the side. The British were on the left side and the Americans on the right side.
Back at Aunt Mary's. She always makes good food!

We went to a wedding while there. I was nervous to meet so many new people but it was a ton of fun in the end.
After the wedding we went with our friends Molly and Brynna (Brynna is also our future cousin-in-law) to their aunt and uncle's to hang out. We needed a picture and Brynna's uncle agreed to take it.
He had a sense of humor and jumped on a chair to get 'a great angle'.
Reagan and me at our grandparents.
Riding in Grandma's Ford Bronco and Emily got to drive.
After church on Sunday we needed some pictures with some of our closes friends. It was awesome to see Molly, Maybel, and Brynna!
On the way home during a layover. We were so tired and you can tell. *laughs*
We landed at one and our dad came and picked us up. We reached home at two in the morning, (five in the morning to my body because of the time change) and fell into bed. Whew, I was so tired! But it was such a blessed trip. I met new people and discovered new places! A great adventure!
God Bless! Keep smiling, Jesus loves you!
